We see community as one of sociology's most basic concepts and as such community can never be truly be removed from the sociological endeavor. Currently, efforts among sociologists to creatively explore community have increased. Flint.  The editors are seeking a broad range of topics that focus on the impacts of disaster in the rural South, community level responses to disaster preparation and recovery, and factors shaping long-term rural recovery.  Manuscripts should not exceed 30 double spaced pages, plus notes and references, and should follow the SRS format requirements.
